Hairy, as slang for unpleasant or rough, seems to be of Army origin, from aboutwhen a hairy patrol was an unpleasant one that met with resistance. This isn't a "women of color" subreddit. Unlike American women, who are constantly barraged with a wide variety of products designed to help them excise the dreaded hair from their pits, men are invited to not only keep theirs natural but to show them off in every way that they can.
